GPS Logger — Privacy Policy
.gpx file on your own phone, and never sends it anywhere. The app has no internet access,
no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no third-party SDKs.
1. Who we are
GPS Logger (“the app”) is developed by an independent developer (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app handles and how.
2. Information the app collects
Precise location. When you press START (in the app or from the Quick Settings tile), the app reads your device’s GPS about once per second and records latitude, longitude, altitude and the time of each fix. When you press MARK, it also records a named waypoint at your current position.
Location is collected only while a recording is active. During a recording the app runs a foreground service with a persistent notification, so it keeps logging while the screen is off or another app is in front. When you press STOP, location collection ends.
The app does not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, device identifiers, advertising ID, or any other personal information.
3. How the information is used
Location data is used for one purpose only: to create a GPX track file for you. The app does not use it for advertising, profiling, analytics or any other purpose.
4. Where the data is stored
- While recording, points are written to a temporary file in the app’s private storage on your device, so that a crash or a flat battery does not lose the track.
- When you press STOP, the finished track is saved to your phone’s shared
Documents/GpsLogger/folder. Files there can be opened by you and by other apps you allow to access that folder.
All data stays on your device. You are in control of it — you can view, move, share or delete the GPX files at any time with a file manager or by connecting your phone to a computer.
5. Sharing and transfer
We do not share, sell or transfer any data. The app does not request the Internet permission and therefore cannot send data to us or to anyone else. Data only leaves your device if you choose to copy or share a GPX file.
Device backup: if you have enabled Android’s system backup (for example Google’s backup service), Android may include the app’s private files in your device backup. That backup is handled by your device and your backup provider under their own privacy terms, not by us.
6. Permissions
- Location (precise / approximate) — to record your track.
- Foreground service (location) — to keep recording while the screen is off or the app is in the background, with a visible notification.
- Notifications — to show the recording notification with STOP and MARK buttons.
- Wake lock — to keep the device from sleeping in the middle of a recording.
You can revoke any permission at any time in your device’s Settings. The app does not need “Allow all the time” location access.
7. Data retention and deletion
GPX files remain on your device until you delete them. Temporary recording files are removed automatically once
a recording is saved. Uninstalling the app deletes its private storage; files already saved to
Documents/GpsLogger/ remain until you delete them yourself.
8. Security
Because no data is transmitted, there is no server-side storage to protect. Data on your device is protected by Android’s app sandbox and your device’s own security (screen lock, encryption).
9. Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

.gpx 檔案放在你自己的手機上，
不會傳送到任何地方。本 App 沒有網路存取權限，沒有帳號、廣告、數據分析，也不使用任何第三方 SDK。
1. 關於我們
GPS Logger（以下稱「本 App」）由獨立開發者（以下稱「我們」）開發。本政策說明本 App 處理哪些資訊以及如何處理。
2. 本 App 蒐集的資訊
精確位置。當你按下 START（在 App 內或透過快速設定方塊），本 App 會約每秒讀取一次裝置的 GPS， 記錄每個定位點的緯度、經度、海拔與時間。按下 MARK 時，會在目前位置另外記錄一個命名的標記點。
本 App 只在錄製進行中蒐集位置。錄製期間會以前景服務執行並顯示常駐通知，因此在螢幕關閉或其他 App 在前景時仍會持續記錄。按下 STOP 後即停止蒐集位置。
本 App 不會蒐集你的姓名、電子郵件、聯絡人、照片、裝置識別碼、廣告 ID 或任何其他個人資料。
3. 資訊的用途
位置資料只用於一個目的：為你產生 GPX 軌跡檔。本 App 不會將其用於廣告、建立個人檔案、數據分析或任何其他用途。
4. 資料儲存位置
- 錄製期間，定位點會寫入裝置上 App 私有儲存空間中的暫存檔，避免當機或沒電時遺失軌跡。
- 按下 STOP 後，完成的軌跡會存到手機共用的
Documents/GpsLogger/資料夾。該資料夾中的檔案可由你， 以及你允許存取該資料夾的其他 App 開啟。
所有資料都保留在你的裝置上，由你完全掌控——你可以隨時用檔案管理員或連接電腦來檢視、移動、分享或刪除 GPX 檔案。
5. 分享與傳輸
我們不會分享、出售或傳輸任何資料。本 App 未要求網路權限，因此無法將資料傳送給我們或任何人。 只有在你自己選擇複製或分享 GPX 檔案時，資料才會離開你的裝置。
裝置備份：若你啟用了 Android 系統備份（例如 Google 備份服務），Android 可能會將本 App 的私有檔案納入裝置備份。 該備份由你的裝置及備份服務提供者依其隱私條款處理，與我們無關。
6. 權限說明
- 位置（精確／大略）— 用於記錄軌跡。
- 前景服務（位置）— 在螢幕關閉或 App 位於背景時持續錄製，並顯示可見通知。
- 通知— 顯示含 STOP 與 MARK 按鈕的錄製通知。
- 喚醒鎖定— 避免裝置在錄製途中進入休眠。
你可以隨時在裝置的「設定」中撤銷任何權限。本 App 不需要「一律允許」的位置存取權。
7. 資料保留與刪除
GPX 檔案會保留在你的裝置上，直到你刪除為止。錄製完成並儲存後，暫存檔會自動移除。解除安裝 App 會刪除其私有儲存空間；
已存到 Documents/GpsLogger/ 的檔案則會保留，需由你自行刪除。
8. 資料安全
由於不傳輸任何資料，因此沒有需要保護的伺服器端資料。裝置上的資料受 Android App 沙箱機制及你裝置本身的安全措施（螢幕鎖定、加密）保護。
9. 兒童隱私
本 App 並非以兒童為對象，也不會在知情的情況下蒐集兒童的任何資訊。
10. 政策變更
若本政策有所變更，更新後的版本將公布於本頁面，並標示新的生效日期。
