Short version: This app collects no data, uploads nothing, and shares nothing. All files and settings stay on your own device. The developer has no access to any of your data.
FTP Server runs an FTP server on your Android device so that a computer or another device on the same local network (for example, the same Wi-Fi) can browse, download, upload, delete, and rename files you have chosen to make available. All connections go directly between your device and the other devices on your own network. Nothing passes through the developer's servers or any third party.

Settings you configure in the app (port number, username, password, shared folder paths) are stored only in the app's private storage on your device. They never leave your device and the developer cannot read them. Uninstalling the app removes them.
Files you access over FTP already reside on your device. The app only provides access to them while you have explicitly started the server; it does not copy, upload, or back them up.

FTP is a plaintext protocol: credentials and file contents are not encrypted in transit. We recommend that you use the app only on networks you trust, set a strong username and password instead of allowing anonymous access, stop the server when you are not using it, and never forward the FTP port from your router to the public internet. You are responsible for deciding which folders to share and on which networks to run the server.
This is a general-purpose file transfer utility. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children — indeed, it collects no personal information from anyone.
Because the app collects no personal data, there is no data to access, correct, or delete. To remove the settings stored locally, simply uninstall the app.
If future functionality changes how data is handled, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above revised. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
